VALOR is dedicated to supporting military personnel and first responders who face the challenges of service, both visible and unseen.
Impact of Service
The impact of service on military members and first responders is profound. Recent statistics show a sharp rise in mental health struggles in these communities:
Suicide rates among first responders have surged, and they face an increasingly urgent need for support.
Divorce rates exceed 50% for both military and first responders, often as a result of the stress and unique challenges of their professions.
More than 30% of veterans and first responders suffer from physical and mental health conditions such as post-traumatic stress, which can affect their quality of life long after their service has ended.
Our Commitment
Our 5K event seeks to raise awareness about these alarming statistics and generate funds for faith-based programs that offer peer support networks and rehabilitation services for those who have given so much. Nationally, we partner with Mighty Oaks Foundation and locally, our ministry supports both spiritual and practical needs of service members, first responders, and their families.
Together, we can ensure that these individuals receive the care, respect, and resources they deserve.
